Valerie

Valerie is a strong, brave little girl who is currently facing an ongoing and complex medical journey that has dramatically changed daily life for her and her family. What began as a few concerning symptoms has turned into countless doctor appointments, hospital stays, tests, travel, and long days spent searching for answers.

Over time, Valerie has experienced increasing pain, extreme fatigue, muscle and weight loss, and now signs of muscle atrophy. These symptoms have continued to progress and are affecting only the right side of her body, making her condition especially difficult to understand.

Everyday activities most kids take for granted—like riding her bike or simply playing—have become exhausting challenges. Despite everything she is facing, Valerie continues to show incredible strength and resilience, even on the days when her little body is completely worn down.

Her medical team is continuing extensive evaluations, including neurological testing and full central nervous system reviews, as they work to better understand what is happening and how to help her. The uncertainty surrounding her condition has been incredibly heavy, but her family continues to advocate fiercely for answers and the care she deserves.

The emotional and financial toll has been overwhelming. Frequent travel for specialty appointments, mounting medical expenses, time away from work, and daily care needs have placed significant strain on Valerie’s family.
